Chinese Android Tablets

My friend bought her a MSI 10inch Tab for about R2999 they also have the Toshiba for round about the same price, have a look at the Kalahari.com shop.
 
The Huawei S7 slim is still available from CellC for R99.Might be worth checking out.
 
Incredible has the Acer iconia on special for 2999 this weekend.

Micro SD slot
Ice Cream sandwich [ android 4.03]

You will not get a better deal than that for a full blown tablet supported by a recognised vendor.

What model is this, I see on GSMarena that there is more than one Acer Iconia. With ICS I guess its one of the newer ones???

Its the A500 (wifi only).

Android "over the air" upgrades it to ICS 4.03 - it's the first thing that the tablet prompts you to do when you connect it to wifi (350meg download)

Funny, gsmarena states that its only upgradable to Android 3.2.

Actually, there is very few Tablet makes that is not Chinese. The iPad itself is Chinese.
If you want a tablet that is not made in China, I'd suggest you look at Archos or maybe Motorola (most parts from outside of China)

But all jokes aside, saw the link you provided and saw people got the upgrade and saw the error of my ways. Great stuff. My last post you couldn't tell, but if you see the smiley faces, I was actually just making a joke.

I think there is a difference between say the ipad and some cheap chinese make, ipad may be made in china but it doesn't mean the chinese made it if you know what i mean.
 
On the subject of tablets. I saw on tv about a new tablet that is being advertised. It's called a Wise Touch and has been specifically developed for the SA market. The sizes range from 7" up to 10" and pricing start at R1500 to the top end unit for R3500.
