Hi guys,

Am I the only one that finds .chm files bloody annoying - I want to convert my ebooks to pdf - any good opensource or free apps out there?

j

Best one i've found is here so far - http://www.thebeatlesforever.com/processtext/abcchm.zip - although it does put up an annoying nag - but it will rip the whole chm to pdf whereas primo and all the others do chapter per chapter. So instead of running the program 12x I only run it once.

Only annoying thing bout this one is the url it adds on the top of each page to say this client was used - I might buy a licence....

Try my favourite little helper;

www.pdfonline.com

Upload the file, and it e-mails the PDF file to you in like 5 minutes flat.
90% success rate ;) (as in, you get the PDF file and you can use all the elements in the file)

Interesting post, can one also convert an annoying .chm if you have Acrobat Distiller + the full blown Adobe Acrobat installed on your machine?

I was going to ask this question on the forum but someone beat me to it :)

Cute PDF writer is also fairly good. It works on the same printer driver principal as most others. Just google for it. It is free.

I like CutePDF and PrimoPDF. Both easy to use.
If you need to stitch different chapters together, I suggest PDF Fill PDF Editor. Works like a dream.
All free. As ever, turn to Google :D
