Hey guys

I need advice.

Currently I'm in a hardcore raiding guild which is what I've always wanted...problem is the members (most of them) are a bunch of piliks. The guild is not friendly and impersonal...generally not a fun guild.

Raiding is easy (top 5 guild on our server), but if you make is mistake you get hammered with insults.

There is another guild I could join, which is friendly, mature and people I know there. Thing is they are progressed up to MH at the moments so its not that hardcore as yet...

Question is...should I join the lower ranked guild or take it up the...you know and live with the rank 5 guild?

True...thats what I keep saying...its not fun in the guild I am now... =/

Do you want the easymode raiding or the fun progression

Simple really

hmm, ye...Now I need to wait for a mage to get kicked from the other guild :p lol

I agee with Boom.

The biggest attraction to WoW is the social aspect. In my last guild that part started dying off. They where just to serious and people lost tract of the fun part. I left and joined another social guild which does raid nicely but to them it's all about fun.

That is what the game is all about FUN !

Sure you might not progress at lightning speed and you will prob only see end of game content about 7 or 8 months after release of WoTLK but you will be having fun doing it ;)

go with the pricks... its just for two weeks or so until everyone quits raiding. That way you can experience the most before the expansion....

Its true...I got kicked out of raid just after a wipe on Gorefiend, because they thought I "DC'ed" to get out of the wipe fest

Ye freeek, I have to stay with them anyway till I can get a spot in the other guild. I've muted half the guild on Vent already :p lol

People in our and other top guilds just :gasp: when they hear i'm tanking with 600ms latency sometimes.

Raid with people you enjoy to be with. Alternatively do what I do and join a raid alliance and stay in the guild with your friends.

If you dont find a good guild on your server you can always transfer to another where you may find some better options...

just make sure the guild isn't *too* social.
I was in a guild before the one i am in currently that was just way too relaxed, raids weren't happening as scheduled and people wouldn't pitch etc.

Its hard to find a mix of serious raiders who also enjoy the social aspect and a bit of a laugh.

The further into end game content guilds are, the more elitist and plonkish they become imho - ofc there are always exceptions, like my current guild =).

Again depends on taste, the guild I am in are not at all interested in raiding anything harder than karazhan. But with over 100 active players it is still a nice social guild, we just don't raid together ;) The ones serious about raiding like myself raid with other guilds.

I moved to a diff realm, to join an ultra casual guild of some other people I know. Didnt work out. Conclusion. Fun is what you make it. If you like raiding and getting through content quickly, the 'lolol' /buttslap cameraderie and dontcare attitudes will wear out soon enough as well.

In my case I eventually realised it wasn't the people making it 'unfun' for me, wasn't the progression pace or whatever. I was just bored of it all. Bored of the game.
Maybe try taking a break from WoW. Even if it's just a case of playing Xbox or something. Get some perspective again. Besides, right now it really doesn't matter, the slate gets wiped completely clean in 3, 4 weeks time.

Don't listen to them! you not going to make any progress or get to see the cool things in casual guilds! Once the expac comes out join your friends in their guild and level up with them and start raiding from scratch with them

Dude...

Casual guilds rock. I'm currently in one and I often play WOW just so that I can chat with my guildies and have fun. Definitely move over to the casual guild. You'll love it.

Im in a casual guild and I've seen BT and MH. Sure we havent cleared it, and probably wont. We have fun. Get serious when its required.

Casual doesnt mean you dont raid. Sure you wont get server firsts, seconds or whatever. But you will get adults and have some fun. You wipe just as much, its just over a longer time period.

Currently boosting some friends who just joined through the nerfed raids to gear them up for ROFLKing expansion. Having a blast. Literally.

no man, you guys are misunderstanding me... Casual guild is the way to go especially if all your rl friends are there..... but since its this close to expac it would be wise to join a hardcore just to experience a few imba challenging fights!

The end of RAIDING guilds is upon us... don't even bother sticking in one especially one u don't enjoy being in. Its all going to be about having fun again, leveling and then eventually raiding the big time.
