i disagree, a month after the expansion is released guilds will be raiding and making progress in end-game content.
NOW is the time to secure and forge relationships with the really good guilds on your server in order to level up with the guild members and become a part of a stable end-game raiding schedule when everyone hits 80.

Its hard to find a serious raiding guild with cool members who aren't *too* serious, but they are out there.
If you want to experience a bit of end-game now and make progress after you hit 80 then it is best to start looking.

Quite sad tbh. I like to visit my wow friends every now and then, have a few beers etc. The fun of this game is that you play with other people, else I would have sticked to single player games.
 
I agree the game is fun when u play with other ppl, I just dont drink beer with them
 
I'm in a casual guild, with some serious guys in it. Other guys thought that there was no real progression opportunity due to the lack of 25 serious dudes, so they left and is now raiding with a 'hardcore' guild. They still come back and help us out if needed. But there are enough serious guys around to make a real dent in the 10-man progression of WOTLK. And the guys that left are now considering coming back and joining up with us lekker okes again.
The cool thing is, we all enjoy each others company, we are all on the same wave length....I can't wait to go from 70 to 80 with these guys and then dip into the new end game content.
 
Blizzard also nerfed the ***** outta the raids so the other guild will most likley progress really quickly. I would go for the other, I hate unfriendly guilds :P

You guys miss understood though...the friendly guild ain't rl friends...they are WoW friends :p

Good to be back in the old guild though :D

You can always meet the wow friends and make them rl friends as well ;)

We're not "hardcore" 24/7 WTFBBQ per se, but we take raiding serious. Very casual atmosphere, but focused on raiding 3 days a week. We don't tolerate "elitism".
 
And because you get along in tricky situation whilst online, you should enjoy that beer and chatting about raid tactics while waiting for the braaivleis.

Thats exactly what I want :D Focused raiding, but relaxed.
