Christians must be SA's moral conscience

I think it is more church specific, go read on the Pentecostal Holiness Church doctrine. Also he made his statement at the church, so public announcing this made sense when directing it to Christians should it have been a broader audience, his statement would have been flawed.

:erm: the statement has gone out to a broader audience and for squirrel to have thought it wouldn't is naive

Picking and choosing, u said it.

Yes you are right, I did say that. Pity you don't actually have a point here, you just seem to like wasting people's time by repeating what they said.

why don't you give the answer because your questions appear to indicate that you think there is nothing wrong with it?

No. I never said it wasn't wrong. I just asked why YOU think it's wrong. What's the rationale? On what basis? Given that stuff just happens and human beings are just chemical reactions, why is rape wrong? Is a given chemical reaction based on the laws of physics causing a rapist to rape wrong?

Your "seemed to indicate" is a non sequitur.

So it's non binding and people can pick and choose the Bible, thank you.

this is CA not PD

and actually you didn't ask ME why I think it's wrong

Well done, you've managed to successfully argue something no one was debating against. Five points.

For more time-wasting, that is.

You're welcome :) Hope you learned something.

Again Christians can pick and choose from the Bible. And not all Christians are the same, some see much of the Bible as allegorical and see much of it as non binding on post-Christ Christians. Others see rationale in natural law too. But to say can't pick and choose is incorrect. ;)

You should repeat this more. It's catchy.

But to say can't pick and choose is incorrect. ;)

Aaahh :( I thought you learned something in the thread, but obviously you haven't. I didn't say they can't. I said they do.

Learn to read and you'll stop wasting other people's time so often maybe :)

Ramaphosa is speaking to a particular audience. If he spoke to school children, he'd have said that school children must be SA's moral compass and work against abuse of women. If he spoke to a trade union, he'd have said trade unionists must assume that role.

If you said they DO, and there is nothing wrong with it in your opinion, good for you.

Sigh. We're going backwards, in one thread your comprehension is actually getting worse :( What shall we do? I also never said there's nothing wrong with it.
