Christopher Geerdts is the Chairperson at Wireless Access Providers Association, CEO and Director at XConnect South Africa and Director at Isondo Group.
Christopher is the CEO of an exciting local/international partnership, dedicated to democratising voice and multimedia communications by empowering VoIP providers and telcos to inter-connect with each other in South Africa, Southern Africa, Africa and globally.
He previously held an executive position in the Carrier Solutions Dept of Huawei Technologies, serving strategic operators across Southern Africa.
He recently held a Senior Management position in Marketing. His principal contributions are in strategy, scenario planning, continuous improvement and systems thinking. He is an ardent student of 'The Toyota Way'.
For many years as "Mr Data" he had ensured MTN ran ahead of its competitors in terms of both strategy and products from high-speed circuit switched data to GPRS, EDGE, Corporate VPN. He was responsible for the 3G and MTN Portal relaunch strategies.
Christopher is an established international speaker, presenting cutting edge thinking at the Cannes 3GSM Conference (2004) and other African, South African and United Kingdom conferences.
