Chrome lags with video embedded content

Hi guys

I have a prob which I haven't been able to solve even after numerous Google searches.

Chrome is laggy and jittery whenever I'm on a page with video embedded content such as YouTube or Vimeo videos. When I go to youtube to play a video (or play a video on any site for that matter), the video playback is choppy and lags behind.

What is causing this?

I haven't installed any new extensions lately.

Chrome Version 22.0.1229.79 m

Things I've tried:

Disabled flash plugins individually at chrome://plugins/

Any help will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!

It's Flash (regardless of if you disable it or not) and a combination of hardware IMO. I have a laptop that did quite fine in previous years, but with flash 10+ .... it seems like a 386 with 2meg ram.

Try their HTML5 beta (can't remember the URL) and see if that helps

I found the url here: http://www.youtube.com/html5... That seems to have solved it!
