My kid has started grade 8 at a new school and they needed to get a Chromebook for their work. This device is managed by the school on the Google Education platform. In the first week that she had it, she was up until 3am on the device. I want to try prevent this from happening again. I have setup OpenDNS and my router parental controls to control some things but I would like to lock the device after 8pm until 7am the next morning. I have used Microsoft Family Safety, Google Family Link, and IOS Screen Time to accomplish similar things and to lock devices and manage the times they can use it. How do I do this on a Chromebook. I can’t use Family Link as the device is managed by the school, so it won’t work. I have asked the school IT teacher and they don’t know how (or even if it’s possible) to lock the device as described above.
