I've been looking for Chromebook Plus spec laptops for my group of companies. We do not want Mac or Windows at all. We have our reasons, based upon decades of experience.

Computermania won't even respond when we ask for Chromebook Plus-rated hardware, and instead offer toys for kids.

Firsttech wants to FICA us just to give a quote. My sex life is private. Hell, why do they insist upon proof of address, a website, etc , just to give a quote, or just to say whether they stock the stuff or not? GenZ and millennials are just useless and cannot do business.

They do business like Unkel Adolf

Does ANYONE in South Africa retail Chromebook Plus-rated laptops?

15.6 or 16-inch display
256GB SSD
16GB RAM (minimum 8GB)

Our money won't go to hardware we don't want.

Sorry for the typo in the subject line, that's what basal ganglia strokes do in the end.

What's wrong with Windows or Mac?

Have you tried Incredible Connection:
What's wrong with Windows or Mac? Yes, they're clueless. Find out in your own time what's wrong with the other two. You had 2024 years to find out, the info is in the public domain. And then personal experiences with them. But that's none of your business.

I've used both Windows and Mac, quite happy with either.

I think there are two major issues here.

1. ChromeOS has minimal market share, so obviously fewer retailers are going to stock them. First Technology is a distributor, not a retailer, they're not going to sell anything to you unless you are an IT business.

2. Your attitude is k@k. If you respond in person like you do online then it's no surprise that the few stores that stock Chromebooks aren't going to be interested in assisting you. I can overlook your inability to properly use comments on this forum, but that attitude is not going to get you any assistance here.

Your ineptitude won't go far, either. You're out of your depth and you flaunt your ignorance. Go on. Good bye, I'll get sorted elsewhere, where knowledge exists.

Aah sorry, a man of your superior intellect clearly desires an unparallelled computing experience:

They want to give you a pro forma invoice with the company details on. It’s not rocket science. You’re just born yesterday?

Strange OP, Chromebook Plus hardware is stocked by various retailers, since this is seemingly a business acquisition (a process). There are service providers that can be approached who could possibly provide you with ‘bulk’ discounted pricing. Just be warned, this tiering does not scale as some think it does.

I am curious, since you have had a bad experience with Windows and Apple ecosystem, what is the problem that you want to solve with Google?

For starters, in my original post I made it clear enough that I didn't want to discuss my issues with Mac & Windows, but people clearly won't respect me, so I am pissed off. I am recovering from my 12th stroke and don't suffer fools. If there was a vendor in my province willing and capable to provide what I was willing to pay for, I wouldn't have come to this piss-creek where people lack discernment.
Do you and IT expert of my experience didn't think this through? Okay, I cease and desist from this godforsaken bitchfighting forum. I'll buy refurbished Lenovo T-series and install EuroLinux on it.
Next time, don't scratch where you don't itch.

Good bye.
