Chromecast - Dstv Now - can't cast anymore.

Hi guys.

I'm unable to cast Dstv Now app to my first gen Chromecast as of today.

I get a white horizontal line across my TV.

The Chromecast works fine with other casting services. I did however reset it and reinstalled the Now App as well.

Is anyone possibly experiencing the same?
I'm not in the mood to contact Multichoice.

Mine also stopped casting have 4 Chromecast all different gens in the house and 2 phones none of them are working with DStv now...but everything else is fine
 
DStv (Not Right) Now (Maybe Later) has been discontinued on Chromecast due to the ongoing rights dispute with Alphabet Inc.

Time to upgrade to LIT?

Joking right? Probably a temporary glitch.

Chromecast 3rd generation not working here, haven't tested the 2nd generation ones yet.
 
If anyone contacts them, please post back.
I'm definitely not in the mood for this.
 
I'll check - just as soon as I figure out where I put the thing.

Lol maybe if I said my DStv was on lockdown I would have got a better response
 
Yip. My chromecast says "Something went wrong" when trying to connect via the DSTV now app
I see on their FB page others are mentioning it too.

Which version of the DSTV Now app are you using? and is it iOS or Android?
Version info is under "About" in the Settings menu.

Mine is 2.2.28 - 217020228 on Android, and Chromecast functionality is broken. Play Store says last updated on 24 June.
