It could have come from his bum or nose and infected his wounds during the op.
Staph aureus naturally harbors in these areas. Take a swab from these areas and get them tested and you'll see what I mean.

Oh really? Why don't you tell him and the doctors why half of his back is missing? It liquified his flesh which was being sucked out with a vac pump. the only way they got rid of it was for him to be on xyvoxid intravenous 3 times a day for 4 weeks (at R2500 a drip). No other antibiotic worked (including cloxicillin or vancomycin). It took a year to get rid of it and a huge flesh graft to close the damage caused.

Fusidic Acid is the drug of choice for a staph infection.

yes but when it becomes virulent its a big problem. If its your normal flora that does not mean it cant harm you
