Chrysler Crossfire any advice

Just buy a damn, 135i convertible!:D
 
Jeez...have any one of you actually owned a chrysler? while they're not up there with the best of the best of the best, they're actually good cars with decent value. I bought a second hand Neon at 60000km, now running 120000km with no prob.Have leather seats, AC, P/S, CL ect. I'd rather by a chrysler at the same price than some 25Yr old design from VW or Toyota.
 
^^ nope have not, read poor reviews, bad resale value etc etc ... drove a Jeep STR8 (chrysler, jeep same thing) though that i was keen on buying ... quite nice, but def the quality ain't too fab on the car when comparing it to the German counterparts
 
Chrysler are crap cars. The roadster doesnt match up to your other roadsters.

S2000 - if you like a high reving little jap
350z will get the win for me. Pure V6 power

The SLK and BMW range is priced much higher than the crossfire.
 
The Crossfire has one of the highest depreciation values. This one seems to be good value for money :)

Sorry, would rather by a Jap or German model with more mileage. Loaned a Neon for a while, the suspension design seemed to be 35yrs old!!

Just think for a while why Merc has pulled out of their take over of Chrysler. This alone for me is a big red flag!!:sick:
 
If it is second hand (and in good condition) and you can get it at the 'depreciated' price, grab it with both hands. I had an SLK 230K (the Crossfire is based on the same mechanicals) a few years ago, but when I drove a Crossfire about two years ago (had it on loan from the dealer over the weekend while my car was in for a service) I was astonished at the raw get-up-and-go. It feels much faster on acceleration than the SLK - I dunno why, but it was a helluva lot of fun.
 
I would suggest staying away from the Crossfire. They're apparently crap cars, they look stupid and yeah the resale value is VERY VERY poor.

The gearboxes on the crossfire are apparently VERY bad, and prone to breaking v easily.

There is one great thing about the crossfire.
Chrysler made the service manual available. So I have been able to do repairs on my slk that would otherwise have been expensive dealership exercises. So thank you Chrysler...
