Oh and it also doesn't help that popcorn and a coke costs like R70 or something stupid these days.

If you think there are any good ones, you are very seriously deluding yourself.
I had to watch Deadpool vs Wolverine in 3D. It literally does nothing for me.You've just watched **** ones then.

That’s a cash grab where they just add it on afterwards.I had to watch Deadpool vs Wolverine in 3D. It literally does nothing for me.
If they go crazy with the 3D effects, it gives people motion sickness, so they use it for one or two scenes and that is it.
So I went to watch Deadpool vs Wolverine at the IMAX in 3D, and while it didn't blow me away by any stretch of the imagination, it was actually decent.
Was it worth the additional ticket price, no but it didn't negatively impact the movie at all.
3D is a gimmick imho.TV's don't have 3D though.
**** it, there goes my low carb diet! The other night, me and the wife sat watching a movie, on our clean comfy couches, I popped a whole pot of pop-corn (couldn't finish it all) and seasoned it with Sour-Cream and Chives spice, had a 2L of cream-soda and an entire 150g slab of Top-Deck (my guilty pleasure)
With a portion of the fibre line fee and Netflix account, all in probably under R100
Stop turning your head3D is a gimmick imho.
Watched Avatar back in the day at cinema in 3D 3 different times. The 3D effect was different each time.
Same reason why they don't sell 3D TVs anymore.Stop turning your head
Remember when movies had no sound and a guy playing the piano in the front to create ambiance? Wow...whatever happened to that??Streaming poaching cinema customers in South Africa
International streaming services like Netflix and Disney+ aren't only stealing customers from traditional broadcasters like DStv, they're poaching customers from cinema chains in the country.
This is according to multimedia and television journalism lecturer at the Durban University of Technology, Siphumelele Zondi, who added that the expansion of access to Internet connectivity in South Africa means more residents are moving to streaming services.
Were they expensive?Remember when movies had no sound and a guy playing the piano in the front to create ambiance? Wow...whatever happened to that??
