can somebody please help me by explaining how to get torrents working on iBurst, i have access to a socks5 proxy in the US that runs on port 20

Azurues is what I use works well but with iburst... it's a no go

I found on Iburst, Bitlord is the only one that works,depending on the seeds of course will determine the speed but generally local torrents will go reasonable above 10kB/s but international are difficult to go above 2kB/s

Good day to everyone. I have had iburst now for 2 weeks. And first I wanted to cancel the dam thing straight away. Cant play online games p2p does not work as I want. But I found another program that really workds I often get over 20kB/s on it. I downloaded 2 movies . Doom and Kung pow (around 1.4 gb) in around 6 hours I think it was .

Send me a mail and I will gladly tell you which program it is for those who have not heard of it.

I think it should be illegal to say we have broadband in Sa.

I found torrents (and other P2P) to be very time-consuming, finicky and frustrating, even when it works. And finding good content is a minefield of bad links, scams and spam.

And lets face it, bandwidth is precious in SA. And particularly on Iburst. At a minimum of R120/Gb, you just can't afford having others consuming it.

Even when you do get down some "shared" 700Mb pre-release movie, it has cost you upwards of R100 in 2-way bandwidth, it's pirated, compressed, the quality is poor, and if you're going to keep it, you still need to burn it to disk. How is this better or cheaper than buying the real Mccoy DVD when it hits the shelves?

Or, if you're so intent on flouting the law, just hire and rip.

If I'm going to burn bandwidth it better be on stuff that will never find its way to a store shelf nearby.

The program I use I limit the uploads to 1kb and 1 upload at a time. So I basically loose no bw. As soon as the user seen a slow upload they normally cancel their download.

So as far I am know the p2p I am using gives me everthing I look for. Never once had a fake file or spyware with it...

Bittorrent is not illegal. It's the content you download off it, that is illegal.
Please get it right.

please note wbs have always maintained their package is shaped. so dont be surprised if you cannot get the best performance out of iburst with regards to p2p although with any system there are loopholes.

if you want unshaped iburst offers 9Gb unshaped I am just waiting for the price to decrease a bit then i am in.

I'd rather have a 2Mbit package with 6gig shaped at the current 3gig pricing
