I'm shopping around again for whey protein/meal replacer etc, came across Cipla nutrition and was wondering if someone on this forum tried it and what your take is on Cipla Nutrition products? I usually go with Evox but open for something new..

I would try it depending on the cost obviously. Big money to spend on studies and more than likely far superior products to anything on the market, having said that riax may be right but if the price is not much different go for it.

You are definately making the correct choice in changing over to Cipla range of products . they are definately not all the same and cipla is the only nutrition company that is formulated in a pharmaceutical lab . what Cipla says on its label is in its product .. The product is far more advanced than any product out there .. you will not be dissapointed .
feel free to follow me on twitter @TyronWal or follow @ciplanutrition we give up to date product info and are willing to help anyone using the products . welcome to the team :D

Hi Golliath.
Thank you for your interest in Cipla Nutrition products! And congratulations on your decision!

One of the unknown facts about the supplement industry in South Africa,
is that the industry is UNREGULATED. In other words, a supplement might
not contain close to the amount of whey protein, or active ingredients
that the label claims. An educated consumer, will understand the value
that Cipla Nutrition offers in terms of the supplements being
Formulated, Manufactured & Approved - to the HIGHEST pharmaceutical
standards. What is on the label, IS what is in the bottle!
Additionally, for whey protein, we offer the best value per serving for
100% whey protein in the market. And during our extensive Research and
development of our 100% Whey Protein - right after Pharmaceutical
Quality, was TASTE! We have developed some of the most deliciously
flavoured products on the market today: Chocolate, Strawberry and
Vanilla.
We will gladly address or help educate anyone who needs additional
information on supplement quality and how that effects the
performance/effectiveness of the supplements. Please send or PM us your
questions.

OUR BOTTOM LINE: YOU DESERVE QUALITY. And we will provide nothing less
than the best.

Golliath (and any other interested readers) - please PM us with your
contact details, and we will be glad to contact you personally, to help
you achieve your goals.

We look forward to having you as part of the #CNTribe!

Yours in health,

A bold claim. How can you guarantee that your supplement contains what it says ? Whats your mode of analysis ? how is it QC'ed ? also how is your manufacturing process any different from say USN or Evox branded stuff ?

No offence...but in terms of your 100% whey I can name 4 local suppliers that stock a whey concentrate (NOT an isolate) that has a higher protein content per 100g that yours. Not by much of course, but just saying :D Be careful with your statements...hehe.

As to brand efficasy there are worse protein powders with much poorer content that Cipla - their products look great, have gotten great customer feedback on various forums so I doubt you can go wrong :) Try it, use it and see how your body responds as always ;D

Hi Everyone
Thanks for your feedback and the opportunity to address your concerns.

Riax,
Cipla Nutrition is the ONLY South African Sports Nutrition brand that manufactures supplements in
cGMP Certified & MCC (Medicines Control Council) Licensed facilities - the same standard as used for PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION.

See the details and our facilities here:
http://www.mccza.com/about/default.asp
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_manufacturing_practice
http://www.fda.gov/drugs/developmentapprovalprocess/manufacturing/ucm169105.htm
"Why are cGMPs so important?
A consumer usually cannot detect (through smell, touch, or sight) that a drug product is safe or if it will work. While cGMPs require testing, testing alone is not adequate to ensure quality. In most instances testing is done on a small sample of a batch (for example, a drug manufacturer may test 100 tablets from a batch that contains 2 million tablets), so that most of the batch can be used for patients rather than destroyed by testing. Therefore, it is important that drugs are manufactured under conditions and practices required by the cGMP regulations to assure that quality is built into the design and manufacturing process at every step. Facilities that are in good condition, equipment that is properly maintained and calibrated, employees who are qualified and fully trained, and processes that are reliable and reproducible, are a few examples of how cGMP requirements help to assure the safety and efficacy of drug products."

Our Manufacturing Facilities:
http://www.ciplanutrition.com/manufacturing-facilities.html

Our claims of superior quality are substantiated by these approvals and certifications.

If you are based in Durban, Cape Town or Johannesburg - we invite you to come and see our facilities. Please just let us know via PM and we can set this up.

The sport supplement industry in South Africa is UNREGULATED - the same as in the USA. See this short video clip from the Documentary "Bigger Stronger Faster" as an explanation:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThdFqGLq4QU

What GUARANTEE YOU, that what we say on the label, is what you will find inside the packaging. We believe you deserve quality - and we provide the BEST QUALITY.

Orihalcon - Thank you for your contribution and great feedback.

For us, it is important to differentiate between:
A. Protein per 100g claim on the label &
B. Protein actually present inside the packaging

Due to the South African advertising standards, we cannot directly compare product lab results publicly.

But an independent US study confirmed that very few Protein supplements tested contained what they had claimed on the label, due to sub-par: formulations, raw product, manufacturing facilities and packaging
conditions:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=145586421

We produce our supplements in a Pharmaceutical environment, under the same standards and conditions as used for producing human PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION.
What is on the label, IS what you'll find inside the packaging.

YOU DESERVE QUALITY. And we provide nothing less than the best quality.

If you have any further questions about Cipla Nutrition products, please PM us and we can contact you directly to answer questions or help you achieve your goals.

Yours in health,
#TeamCN

i have been in this industry for over 15 years and can honestly attest to the the fact that Cipla Nutrition products are of the best quality i have ever used....besides that, the way the company is run and the general professionalism and attention to detail in all that they do attracts me to the product in multiple other ways.

i have literally worked closesly with almost every big brand in SA and can, with confidence, recommend the Cipla Brand

I spoke to some guys at a local store that were promoting CN. I believe the hype about quality controls etc, but what about taste? I just have been through a 2kg USN Diet Fuel that tasted awful and have not been helpful at all in attending to my complaint. I had to add cocoa and sugar to help it along, but it was still a bit of a chore getting through the whole tub. So the question is: does CN taste good? or do they provide for in store sampling? or what is the smallest quantity that could be purchased?

RAS this fker in my opinion.

Although the cipla okes did do a good job of putting riax in his place. Where can we buy cipla anyhow?

I could be wrong by post work out your muscles are craving just about any nutrient you can feed them yet cuipla a medical company with studies to back up their claims have a product with a very low carb in take after a work out? Why would that be? Your post work out is extremely important and you want as many carbs and as many grams of protein as possible yet cipla doesn't see it like that or perhaps i am wrong.

http://www.supplementworld.co.za/cipla-nutrition-post-workout-recovery.html

They are also extremely expensive

Could you explain why you feel a post work out drink should be low in carbs or is that a choice you made?

Why are you so expensive? Damn your prices are worse than the imported shyte that is regulated. Perhaps you should make bigger tubs as well.
