Circumcision pluses outweigh risks: Pediatricians

Interesting...
If you are pro-circumcision then you are a religious nut or a mutilator and there is zero justification.
However if you're pro-circumcision and a medical expert, then you're a money grabber and charlatan.

Sounds about right.

I can never take an article seriously when the same people advocating something, are the ones that get a huge financial benefit out of the article's agenda.

People of the world, teach your sons to wash their bits well, and infection will be a thing of the past. Simple!

We also have no idea which research they looked at to come to this decision and whether they went back over each to evaluate the quality of each study. I for instance would be curious to know where they found a study that showed real world significant reductions in HIV infection due to circumcision. You also have to wonder how they come up with these projected medical costs that will allegedly incur if all boys are not circumcised.

Interesting. Up until you posted this, no one used the words religion or mutilation until you commented.

Given the state of the US healthcare system I'd hazard we'd be better off looking elsewhere. How's about the Royal Dutch Medical Association, for instance?

The official viewpoint of KNMG and other related medical/scientific organisations is that non-therapeutic circumcision of male minors is a violation of children’s rights to autonomy and physical integrity. Contrary to popular belief, circumcision can cause complications – bleeding, infection, urethral stricture and panic attacks are particularly common. KNMG is therefore urging a strong policy of deterrence. KNMG is calling upon doctors to actively and insistently inform parents who are considering the procedure of the absence of medical benefits and the danger of complications.

Stop seeking justification for weeny-mutilation.
