Claim your e-toll money back: JPSA

so then they cannot claim to be part of government and hide under those laws?

The only reason Sanral would have access to data from PayMyFines is because there was a golden handshake involved. Any sensible company would not handover customer data and violate their own T&C's and privacy policy to any government agency.

If I had ever received such a request, it would be denied and even in case of a subpoena there would be a fight. So in simple terms, a number of companies have sold off their customer databases to companies like Sanral for financial gain, disregarding their privacy commitments to their own userbase.

I am 100% sure you will get a reply to your application for a refund

This reminds me of Monsanto. A GM Seed company with massive ties into the US Government. They seem all fluffy and nice and publicly promote themselves and angels, till you find out how they threaten and foreclose farmers in the US and how they worked with the CIA to assassinate farmers in South America who told them to stick their genetically modified seeds.

Fast forward and you now have states in the US banning genetically modified seeds and foodstuffs. Whether indictments and criminal chargers will be forthcoming in the government sector remains to be seen however.
This is all due to public pressure and public education brought on by freedom of information and sharing of info.

All we need to do is persist in our resistance to e-tolls and any other such crap. Especially freedom of information. We also need to educate the masses.
I regularly give clippings as well as print internet articles for my housekeeper and all the guys I interact with who live in the townships.
LOL, sometimes they even ask for copies, such as the Nkandla pictures :)
Dude fills your car? Show him a picture of NKandla and see his jaw drop :)
