Cleaning a cheese grater

there is nobody more OCD than me. i won't even have a dish washer in my house i have to do my own dishes as i need to see that the dishes are properly and correctly washed. 6 times to the left, 6 times to the right, rinse, repeat. clean water in the sink and repeat the cycle.

now with the grater it must definitely be left to soak in warm soapy water for at least half an hour before i "attack" it and then it will be all shiny and new again. :D

A grater would help with your nose Celine.

We should move in together.
If i do dishes by hand, it is done under running water from the hot tap - no sink full of water. I scream, curse & leap about while enduring the pain of the scalding water. :D

I put mine in the dishwasher and it comes out sparkling clean, even on a quick wash.

Your housekeeper is indisputably hopeless. Anyone can shop. I can train an Oranutang to go buy bananas at Spar. A deluded perfectionist lands in your Lap. What more can you ask for?

Problem is, it's a rather nice solid stainless steel job - cant keep tossing them out.
I also tried using the grater blade on the food processor to do a whole block at a time - problem is the grated cheese dries too quickly
haha...yeah was joking. ;)

Wasteful. Fill 2 sinks, one with soapy water, one with clear water. Wash in soapy water, rinse in clear. That way you don't waste water plus get the remaining soap stuff off.

Wtf, it literally takes 10 seconds to completely clean a grater of all cheese, if you clean it relatively soon after use and use hot water.

3 pages of tips on how to clean it. Here's a tip, just fcking clean it :)
