Cleaning shower Glass

Perhaps after all this cleaning, the glass is clean, test your eyes or check your glasses?
Try a limescale remover using layers tissue towel to keep it wet and on the glass.

Definitely not damaged. In fact I damaged a small "test portion" trying to use water sand paper on it.
Please suggest something to use as a buffer and glass polish. I was at builders yesterday, couldn't find anything.

I actually wonder if that ceramic stove top cleaner isn’t the way to go.

Not as easy to apply vertically but also not impossible.

The trick would be leaving it on for extended period.

link for such a product, or at least the name please ?
 
My sister-in-law swears on Cook & Bake sprayed on to the glass after a good cleaning session. The following cleaning events will be much easier as the limescale is not on the glass but on the C&B.
I can't vouch on the effectiveness of the above tip, have never tried it myself.

The trick with stopping future contamination is to use liquid soap. Got that from a French contractor who installs bathrooms in cruise liners. Their company fitted 3200 showers in a ship in 2016 and told the owners to supply liquid soap to passengers and crew. The soap has no glycerine, sodium lauryl sulfate, polyethelene glycols or synthetic fragrancies in it. The result is that even after hundreds of cruises, including passengers from the USA who are ultra-fussy, he has only replaced 11 shower doors, and these were all due to damage. The doors and glass get a wipe with a ammonia-based glass cleaner and look like new
 
My doors looked exactly the same as yours and I also tried everything. Eventually I went to an automotive paint shop and got some 3000 grit wet or dry paper and some glass polish.

I took the glass out so that it was easier to work on. I first gave them a good scrubbing with handy andy. I then started sanding them with the paper using the shower cleaner as the lubricant. I sanded in small circles until the scale was off and you could feel the smooth glass through the paper. I did it in two or three light passes with a thorough cleaning in between.
The glass only had light scratches on, I really had expected worse, which I then polished out. I used the car polisher and was very pleased with the result, if you were to get a finer grit then there might be less polishing to do.

It was much easier and faster with less struggle than any of the chemical "solutions" I had unsuccessfully tried.

I also read this online somewhere. unfortunately, I only got 1200 grit paper from builders which was scratching the glass. I will find out if there are any car paint shops near me.
