Post a photo so we can understand what you talking about?
Yeah, I typically use a plastic braai brush to brush away wood ash and then a metal brush for the grids.

Don't think you can make it any simpler and Def easier than cleaning a gas one

Mine is always spotless. And you won't say I am using it 2 - 3 times a week for the last 7 years.

I prefer it a bit dirty, but the gardener doesn't speak English. So now he keeps it spotless.

Used it last night, in 2 days it will be spotless again.

Takes me about as long to clean out my charcoal weber as it does my gas one (which I only have to clean every 10 uses). My firepit braai has a large ash trap so that only needs cleaning every 2-3 times.

Elbow Grease.

Im trying to avoid that

What is a "braai stand"?

What do you need to clean?

Plastic brush to brush all wood ash into collecter empty into bag. Then metal brush for grid. Done

Shouldn't take more longer than 5min.

If it can fit in the sink just soak it over night in water which has been liberally Sunlighted.

Or then there's Zeb if you want to get industrial. Which may or may not damage the grill. Need to ask Weber owners for confirmation before embarking on that endeavour.
