Cleaning your braai stand

Using thick metal brush when the grill is piping hot followed by rubbing half an onion on the grill.

f it can fit in the sink just soak it over night in water which has been liberally Sunlighted.

pro tip - you're better off soaking it in warm water with dish washer machine powder.

Then a braai might not be for you

This seems to be designed for braais.

Edit: with sunlight the water needs to be near boiling when you put the grill in or it doesn't work

If that's the case you're braaing at too low temps. All edible residue should chared up by the time you're done braaing.

My point is dishwasher powder does a better job attacking the baked on gunk than ordinary sunlight liquid. Probably the enzymes?

Those braai grids are disgusting!

Some Spray n Cook before you use it makes cleaning a breeze

Buy Sodium Percarbonate (±R25 / Kg)
Mix 20-40g per liter hot water and soak for ±15min
Bush if need be and rinse with water from garden hose.
Thank me later
