Floyd Shivambu is a prick of the highest order, but I don't know who I dislike more, him or that cocky journalist. I agree with Gareth here, and that does not mean I support the YL.

EDIT: I've had experience with journalists before. The pricks badger you until you get upset and are then completely taken aback if you respond unkindly. Kunts.

Agreed. While I do not condone Shivambu's swearing the journalist in question was being a poepol. Just read the transcript, I would've gotten p!ssed off at the journalist too.

I bet the journalist was pressing to get an outburst from Shivambu. Would be nice to know the lead up to Shivambus outburst. I have a feeling the journo was pestering Shivambu until he eventually snapped.

The same way you dismiss Cliff's comment because you think he is a twat. Not unlike the people that comment on these news sites. They hate a guy, therefore in their eyes nothing that that particular guy can say will ever be true or have any merit. ;)

In short: You have a guy, so you will never agree with anything he says.

Not at all, I agree with him about being recoded without being told that you are. That is where it ends. The fact that Cliff of all people made his support public spells exactly what his on about. He wants to win favor from what happened a few weeks ago. Nothing more nothing less.
 
Gareth Cliff, Flolyd Shivambu, Julius Malema .... all on the same brain level. No surprises here.

It doesn't. He irritates me a lot actually.

Sometimes he really does hit the nail on the head, and other times he gets it SO wrong its laughable. And he talks as if his position is objectively correct, I.E. he talks down on all others sitting on his apparent high horse, and when he gets it wrong, he looks like an arrogant moron. When he gets it right, he sounds brilliant. But ugh, he is irritating.

I don't listen to him anymore, I get the papercut on TuksFM early in the morning, then its onto my iPod. I'll get more meaty stuff from dailymaverick and other good news sites thanks.

No. A journalist (anyone, actually) is obliged to ask your permission before recording you. And they may only quote you if you agreed to be on the record.
