Just something I read the other day of which I was not aware: Some cling wrap contains plasticisers, which is a carcinogen.

So to be safe, use plastic clingwrap without plasticisers (the safe ones would include the No Name brands from Checkers, OK, Pick ‘n Pay, Shoprite, Spar, Woolworths as well as GLAD Wrap).

:DRemove the cling wrap before eating, general rule!!

But yeah i heard that most containers have them as well so its good its in console.

Just chuck the stuffout into a glass bowl. Not that much more dishes to clean.

Umm, adel, they did not test it on humans, they researched it's carcinogenic effect .... probably on rats/mice, which has DNA closest to that of men ... err, I mean humans.

LOL! I understand sometimes i just wonder how they know but they do learn every day from our mistakes and then theirs to.

Someone "funny" is trying to dominate this thread.
What is a plasticisers actually? Cause plastic as far as I know are just carbon and hydrogen chains.
And Adel, rather just post one "funny" post than three not at all funny ones after each other...

Good to know.

I'd assume that "plasticisers" is a generic term like flavourants & colourants....

I thought cling wrap is nothing but *very* thin plastic...I didn't realize they need to add stuff.
