Iv been looking at this offer and im tempted to get it but does it include line rental? R685 + my usual telkom 3 gig account should = less than R1000 if im not mistaken?
 
Closer 5 has:

The 4mbps
Telkom Closer
Phone Rental

But no 3GB package. If you want the 3GB package rather go for Do Broadband 3 Closer
 
If you're not going to be phoning ONE THOUSAND MINUTES each and every month then rather stay away from the Do Closer 3. If you just want 4mbps line + bandwidth then for the same price as Do Closer 3 you could get 10 GB / month by not buying the gigs from Telkom. I'm on Do Closer 3 and it's been a complete waste - hardly ever phone anybody! of course now they'll gouge me R200 to downgrade.
 
My mom speaks to my aunt like 20x a day so the free minutes seems good consider we are already on 384k DSL and out phonebill is usually over R1000. I figure that with Closer 5 it will still cost less and we get a faster connection.
Any one know which is the fastest way for ordering a service or telephone number
 
The quickest way to order it would be by going to your local branch. You can also phone 10129.
 
thanks going to order as soon as my mom gets off the phone :P
its 9:05 am according to my pc and she has been on the phone for well over half an hour

Make a decision...

My bill is like R550 a month, and I have 512.
So I would pay an extra R100 or so for a 4MB line.
 
I'm on closer 4 (its closer 3 with dsl384). I was thinking of changing it to Closer 5, but I'm with cybersmart and they charge based on the line speed, so it will work out a bit more should I change over.
 
my phone bill averages R1100 to R1200 pm and thats with 384k dsl and telkom 3gig acc. rather pay abit less and get 10x the speed
 
holy cow!! just called a few min ago and mine line is synching at 3648/44.
What do you 4mbit guys usually synch at?
