With Cloud computing becoming a reality, can anyone recommend a database solution, simillar to Access, that I can deploy via cloud computing? I will also be interested in software that is due to be released soon

Interested in software for cloud computing, or just the database software??

We use Amazon and installed PostgreSQL and MySQL. It depends on your OS (Linux / Windows) too. Also if your running on Windows make sure your licenced, even in the cloud world Bill Gates is watching.

Would this need to be local or international? If international, your best bet would be to contact a cloud based provider directly and see what their platform can offer in terms of databases.

We sell software that can web-enable any application and have users access it from anywhere. For two users this may be more appropriate?

I just posted this link in another thread, but this one seems far more apprioate.

you want to put Access into a cloud environment?... are you completely bonkers...

Access is barely a database to start with... and now you want to chuck it at something that is designed to host LOTS of users from all over the globe....

Good luck is all I can say to that.

Dude, use a real database. MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Firebird, Sybase, Pervasive, it doesn't matter. They all provide proper multi-user networking capability.
