Anything newer then 3.6 is hardcoded to use the google DNS - so circumvents services like Unotelly - so it will pick you up as a south african and you wont be able ti use Netflix

Had the same issue with my Chromecast as it is hardcoded to use the Google DNS. You just need to block the DNS on your router and it will work with the latest version of Netflix app no problem.

Trust me , get yourself one of these, very cheap , and NOTHING comes close. You'll just have to search around who sells them in your area. I got mine from Chaos.

Got mine early this week. Works great. Netflix works. Plex work.
Tested Showmax, keeps buffering every few seconds, so no go with Showmax. Probably that Widevine crap not working lekka on Android.
For the most, good buy. Still a lot to try, if and when I get time.

I found the Cloudgate to be rather slow with lots of lag, battled with some codecs in HD.

I changed to a MyGica box which is MUCH faster and haven't had any issues since then .

Still, not bad for R900.
