Anyone else notice in the last week or so, that the sound-level on CNN has decreased ?

Before CNN used to be on a par with BBC World News or Sky, but if I now flick between the 3 channels, there's a noticeable decrease on CNN.

Over the years there have been some channels which have had lower sound-levels compared to others, but they seemed to get it right, more recently. Years ago, BBC News used to be distorted, and then that was fixed.

Btw, my sound meter on DSTV is completely 'full' (i.e. entirely yellow), so has nothing to do with my decoder settings (which are consistently set from one channel to the next).

Any suggestions - will their call centre achieve anything meaningful, if contacted ?
.... or is this beyond their control ? (i.e. more to do with the broadcast from the satellite, itself) ?

I queried this a while ago and the response I got was that they received the feed in that volume and there was nothing they could do about it. Maybe things have changed.

As far as I remember with the older, much older decoders you could manually set the sound volume for each channel.

Thanks for your feedback, Juggy.
Mainly wanted to know if there's any reason to waste time trying to have them sort it out.
Will live with the problem, as it's not that serious an issue.
Rgds.
