EasyView package removed from DStv website

DStv's most affordable satellite package, EasyView, is no longer listed for purchase on the broadcaster's website.

Although the EasyView package was never available as a streaming package, the decoder package was previously available for customers to subscribe to through the DStv website.

With that package you can't even watch the Fifa world cup. Rather pay R15 and watch all the games on Youtube via SportyTV

"Canal+ told MyBroadband that EasyView had been removed from the DStv website, but confirmed it was available to subscribe to through its WhatsApp and call centre channels"

Odd thing about this change is that it's only recently neighbouring countries started getting the equivalent of EasyView on satellite, just Zim had similar before. (Mostly called the Lite package, but called Pula package in Botswana etc.)

I guess they think we've got more pula moola here, focus is certainly on making the Access package king.

Mind you, thinking about it so does my mom. She's only 62, though.

Well I'm around that age, and do both 🤷‍♂️

Other weird related stuff going on online.

The old 902 "M-Net Terrestrial" guide listing has vanished.
(Sort of makes sense, it's a long ago closed-off package.)

The Indian Package is still listed, but selecting it delivers.... nothing. No channel details, nada..
Hmmm

Neither are on the streaming-guide either.

All still available via the decoders' guides though.
