I purchased a booster pump from Takealot that failed after two weeks of normal operation. The request for a replacement of the pump was denied by Takealot, citing 'damage arising from sea air corrosion.' Living a fair distance from the sea, I experience negligible sea air corrosion, and even less so as the pump was operating in an enclosed area. Can any product warranty be brushed aside by simply citing sea air corrosion as a blanket excuse for coastal dwellers?
