So I watched the first two episodes last night on youtube. Was really impressed. The original story was about as vanilla as you get where the angle they are playing now is much more interesting. Its told from the perspective of the bad guy for one, and where the other characters fit is also fascinating to me. Definitely not vanilla anymore. Interested to see where this goes.

I see the writer is Josh Heald from Hot tub time machine and the directors are from the Harold and Kumar movies.

I think I will do the 1 month free red tube trial just to watch the rest and hope they roll out to SA at a later stage. The wife has Google play so we should get it for free at that stage.

I doubt Youtube red will come to South Africa anytime soon. Im also a Google Play Music subscriber and hoping we get the service.

Did you get the trial to work?
 
Have not tried yet. Will give it a go this weekend. I saw an article from late 2017 that said Youtube Red was due to expand by 100 countries sometime soon, hopefully SA is on the list. We should be based on market size.
 
I have watched the first 2 episodes and I enjoyed it because of all the references to the original movies.
Hoping the remaining episodes are good. If I compare it to something similar: I loved the "Jean Claude van Johnson" pilot episode but the remaining episodes were just boring and didn't come close to the pilot.

I just googled Red Tube trial.. The results were not as expected.
 
Watched the first two episodes last night and loved it! Got the rest lined up to watch today. Brilliant writing: It pays homage to the movie (and the 80s) while constantly teasing it and its fans and giving it a fresh perspective.

Pretty good show, really enjoying it so far.

Quite cool how they got the original cast back.

I keep wondering what NPH thinks of this, considering how his character Barney idolized the Cobra Kai.

I kept wanting Ross from Friends to make an appearance, just so he could pronounce it kara-té.

Oh yeah I'm sure they had to clear some room from their crazy post-KK movie careers :D

I watched the first episode, it seems really cool. Looking forwards to the rest of this.
