Haha, no, they use a new type of sweetener that comes from the Stevia plant. Which gives it a whole new taste.

Not really new...

Just not used in Coke before... its apparently a bit healthier than the Sugar.. but Life still has 18g of sugar per can, over and above the Stevia sweetener.

If you're into Noakes/Atkins, this is the sweetener you want to use.

Its all over the place here - in between Coke Zero and Coke. Tried it once - uuggh. I'll stick to Coke Zero.

I have started using Xylitol for my coffee from today. I hate the taste of artificial sweetner and have heard stevia also leaves a bit of a bad taste.

I tried it two weeks ago while I was in the UK. I couldn't personally tell the difference between it and normal Coke. Less sugar and same/darn nearest taste to normal coke wins my vote.

Hope it comes out to SA.
