COD 4 Through Steam Download... HELP

Hi! After having spent the entire December hunting for COD4 in CT I've decided to get it through Steam.

I got myself a copy and now am busy downloading it. I was just wondering what happens when I get asked for a CD key? Does the game use one?

I got an email from the Steam okes but no mention was made of a key.

Will I get my key later? Did I do something wrong?

Please, someone help!

I don't think you need one... It's tied to your Steam account.

It's about 7GB when fully installed (or at least, mine is) - you have fun with that one!

Oh, if anything happens and you lose a HDD or something, have fun redownloading it!

There is a backup option on steam that you should use

Holy crap 7GB??? I'm downloading something thats under 1GB. I havent a clue what it is.

Steams giving me crap already. I can log onto the Steam App just not the website...
