CoD: Modern Warfare 2

Well yeah I'm pretty sure anyone who wants it just for SP will pirate it anyway ;) PC that is.

But wtf, installing the game at 10mb a second compared to my 60mb a second hdd -_-
 
Name me one straight FPS which offers more than 8hours of SP...Together with a co-op mode and the MP that MW2 gives you...
 
awesome game, payed R680 at musica who cares, money is a means. or 10 R68 pizzas or 6 buffets a gw, or 68 R10 movies, who really gives a dawm, what ever floats ones boat, sniff sniff awww 6 hours of gameplay its not worth it, define worth, i just spent 200 hours on the last remnant, was it worth it? not really enjoyed the first hour of mw2 more then all those hours. im so tired of people going on about this.

have you ever considered the fact that not everyone is as rich as you? would you pay for arguments sake, R100 000 for a car thats only worth R60 000? just an argument. to YOU its worth it. but for MANY of us it just isn't. at all

I saved a list of everything I found within the Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer executable.
You will find every available Command/Dvar, a description for most of them, and a ton of other readable content.
Anyone can get this info using a hex editor or similar software, I am just making the info available for those who are unaware of the process and would like to add the info to their resource collection.
The information is very scattered but using the search option in your text editor will make finding things very easy. I hope that a few of you will find the info useful in tweaking your game and verifying if a Command/Dvar is really in the game.

Yep, 7 hours and 24 minutes. I still believe COD4 had a better storyline. That said, MW2 wasn't too bad, some interesting locations and better action.

Now if they would only sort out the multiplay aspect, so that I can play with my wireless connection, it will be great.

I'm playing fine on my wireless. I'm on Wimax, and you?
Have you set your NAT to open? Opened the various ports? (port forward).

It could help with a slightly better experience.

If I had to guess, my Wimax (512k) gives about ~ 60ms ping to the hosts.

multiplayer making me go crazy - the bloody lobby that cannot get a game together 2/3rds of the time , and during gameplay it swops server....ai ai

I don't know exactly what wireless internet I am using. See I live in a small community 20kms outside the nearest town, in the middle of nowhere. A local company provides the internet, CRC Networks. I don't have a router or anything, simply a cable from my pc to the roof, a wireless box which sends the data to the tower on the sports field, from there to the mountain and finally down into town where it probably climbs on a fixed line. Normally my gaming speeds are great, 45 -55 for COD4/5 and 20 for BF2.
I have sent the guys an email and gave them the information about the router and the ports, hopefully they will be able to help.
We are 5km outside the local Wimax range, frustrating. Also no proper fixed line service.
 
Anyone tested the game on a lower end pc? I remember reading about MW2 and they stated it will run on a lower end pc. Curious as to how "low end" a pc it can run on and what sacrifices as in graphics etc will be seen?
 
PS3 (or console) version retains value, or if it comfortable on console, i say buy, finish it in 6 hours and put it up on the forum for sale minus R100 of the retail...PS3 is scratch resistant and huge community that is involved is very reliable trading....so don't be put off by the price, It would cost about R100 for 6 hours play and that's cheaper than cinema entertainment...assuming movie tickets cost R26 or more...

The netcode is really great in MW2, plays soo smmoooth...really enjoying the MP, they've added enough to make it feel like a whole NEW experience but the core love is still there...
 
3400+ AMD single core, 2gb ddr2 667mhz ram and a 8600gt runs it fine on medium to higher graphics settings...
