Cod: MW2 Crashing Startup - HELP!?!

For some reason if I open mw2 MP it just crashes - no sign at all -. Anyone else got this problem?

then re start ur game, just in case, or from the beginning of the level.

When I first loaded MW2 to play it stayed frozen at the logo for awhile, just leave it, after the first time it eventually starts super quick.

Downloading the game again did the trick. Verifying game files or defragging did nothing :wtf:

tian, maybe verify that your account has not been banned... You might not be a hacker, but Steam has in the past banned people who actually did nothing wrong... Just check it out!

It would tell you if a hack or cheat was detected... I had a similar issue, I had to uninstall steam & COD MW2 then re-install to get it going....

With me it happened after buying my map packs, so I had to re-download the lot ... peeved me off!

Happened with me, I had to eventually reinstall it, and they it was very iffy from that point on (sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't), then one day, it just worked.

make sure steam is not running.

go to your steam>steamapps>common>call of duty modern warfare 2 folder.

delete the "iw4mp.exe" file.

press back, right click on the call of duty modern warfare 2 folder, make sure it is not read only. press ok.

open steam, then verify modern warfare multiplayer.
