COD4 fps rapid drop...

hi guys,

last night i played COD4 for the first time in nearly 2 months...all went well as usual and then suddenly my fps dropped to 20-25 fps !!! nothing i did made a difference...i kept on beeing kicked off the server due to PunkBuster, went and updated it manually via their site...worked fine after that but fps was still in the 20's...anyone else got this issue?? my system : 4GB ddr800 RAM, BFG TECH 8800GTX OC2 ,ForceWare 178 whql, WinXP , C2D E6600 @ 2.92GHz...any advice ?

Might be overheating on your graphics card's side, causing it to throttle. But a software problem is more likely.

no, turned everything off or disabled it to see if COD would become stable again..

yes, i get 60fps normally cause i "sync every frame" for a better experience...turn it off and i get 100+ but then you get those lines in the middle of the screen as you turn around...

hmm i had PB issues with kicking not really fps.
my PB had a virus.
