COD4 Help!

I got this from saix.net:

1. What to do when you receive the "Key Code in use" error:

- Try one of the following fixes:
1. Go to "Options > Multiplayer Options > Enter Key Code", and click the "Verify CD Key" button. Try and join.
2. If you've been disconnected, wait 5 minutes (And if that fails, wait for a new map to load) and try to join.
3. If all else fails. Restart your router. (Get a new IP address). Then try and join.

9 out of a 10 times, it's just the server assuming you're still connected. So it takes a while to "refresh".

Now i did all of this but nothing helps! I added some local servers found on saix.net and i can see when ppl are playing etc. But when i try to join i get this error "Key Code in use"!! Please help me! I have patch 1.7 installed aswell. and btw its the 1st time i try to play COD4 online

Is it a legal copy?
You don't necessary get a different IP if you reconnect within let's say 30minutes....

I have this problem when I connect to SAIX using RouteSentry and try play COD4.

What I do is;

Disconnect from my accounts and dial up using the local only or international only account and then try, it normally works.

yeah make sure u dont have a local and an international; account running at same time through route sentry. Each account sends a separate IP hence teh duplicate of your CD key, hence teh key code in use error.

ok thanx for all the replies, i found out that the key was got from a key-generator so that explains it. Damn. So ill buy the new COD when it comes out so i hav a legit copy ty for your help. Lets (try) prevent piracy!!!!!
