games.saix.net. Go to the File Vault FTP and then download it from there. Can't get into the ftp site from work, so soz, no direct link for you. :D

xfire is like google talk or msn messenger, but when you go into a game, it updates your status (what you are doing) and the rest of us can see. If you don't want to you that, PM me a google address or msn?

you should also be able to chat using xfire while in the game, take screenshots, etc:cool:

Sorry okes, couldn't connect till late last night. should be able to squeeze a game in tonight though...;)

@dieBoisin: maybe also try loading hamachi and adding some networks... can't garauntee that there will be a game on, but you never know, especialy over the weekends.
Perhaps we could try CoD5 again with the v1.1 patch, eh SharkBait... just thinking it might fix something...??
 
I tried the local vpn thing last night, doesn't work, or maybe I just don't know how to. Windows VPN only connects to one, you can't create one and OpenVPN - eish, I don't know. I did realize why everyone is using hamachi though. :D

Wishblade, I think I might have to get that exe again from you for COD4, I am on patch v1.7 now. I will load COD:WaW again and load the v1.1 patch as well. Do you maybe have the exe for this as well?

Um, the exe for the unpatched game, the patch (installation file), or the patched game? I should have all of them, will need to check when I get home...
 
um, 5:30pm?? I'll still be in traffic at that time (most likely). :mad: I hate traffic...

Yeah, I been doing the whole practising thing for BattleTanks - still trying to master it though... one of these days I'll join in for a game... LOL
 
We finally got everything to work. So from tomorrow we will be playing full steam. :D Get us on xfire if you want to join in on the fun.

Ty to StoneCold and Wishblade for all the hours and BW we used to figure this one out. :D :p
 
Yep, many thanks to StoneCold for the lifesaving fix... And to SharkBait for the hours involved night after night in getting this to work... seemsed so simple in the end :o

We can finally play :cool::D

(BTW, I think the storm had something to do with my lag last night - checked it this morning and the erratic ping has lowered to a more usable level :) )
 
No problem wishblade, glad that I could help. If there is one thing I'm persistant at, its getting games to work, no matter how much effort may be involved :)

Hi guys here is a new server for COD4 1.7 (well we can play other games aswell) I will be kicking players that is ofline for a period of time.. you can also add me on xfire (Puffbunny001) or on g-talk ([email protected]) if you want to join.
