Code 10 getting canned?

Standard driving test these days is for a B licence. If you did your driver's licence before the credit card drivers licence, you got pushed up to an EB automatically.

I got my B licence originally, but it's very limiting as far as towing is concerned, so I'm in the process of doing an EC.

This whole law that was set out, where if you had a heavy duty licence you would not be able to drive a light motor vehicle has been cancelled.

If you get an EC licence (old code 14), you can drive any other kind of vehicle, besides a motor bike. If you have the opportunity and the funds, get as high a code as possible, it can only benefit you in the long term.

Thanks, that explains it. Was wondering why some have B and other EB.

So just confirmed now , that (old terms used) if you have or apply for the equivalent of code 10 or 14 you can still drive a car (old code 8)

No, because then you would need two licenses just to be able to ride any bike.

Not really relevant to the discussion. If they made it the way you suggest, it means that you can only ride a > 125 cc bike in town or on the highway, but not ride a < 125 cc bike at all.
 
Considering they only check my license every 3 years I'd simply drive unlicensed if I had to go through the whole thing again.
