I was informed that the 31 August was the last day that code 3 vehicles could be registered in SA. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? It seems highly unlikely due to the fact that it would automatically and immediately make probably thousands of cars and bikes nothing but scrap, and create serious issues for the local motor industry. This is a problem for me as I have three de-registered motorcycles that I have been building up and was planning to put back on the road fairly soon.It doesn't make any sense, and I have been unable to get any clarity on this. Can someone please shed some light on this for me!

Wow that would be an issue. Was also planning on putting a de-registered bike I'm slowly building back on the system so would this stop me? Eish...

OT- What are you building if you dont mind me asking, always curious to see local bike builds.

I really need to know if this is true or not,if it is I have to stop putting money into the bikes right now.Am buillding a Honda CB900 F2,Triumph TT600,and Honda RVF 400.What are you building?

Is reminded of the saying : If they outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns.

Meaning that they will still chop vehicles down, swap engine, VIN and ass. numbers around, (even with scrapped/accidend-damaged vehicles as well) then build it up, then sell it off to some ignorant buyer, who'll sit with the hot potato.

Tell that to the fools running this fiasco (they call themselves a government). We heard it all .............. like RICA will stop "communication" crimes. ;)
