Whats the best and latest codecs to use for watching divx, mpg, avi. etc.....

I have a movie with a avi extension but it wouldn't play at all. I have lots of codecs installed.

Try XP Codec pack just do a Google search for it.

There might the be the problem if you have too many codec they conflic and so more and more stuff don't want to play.

I know if you have xp codec and k-light MEGA codec they seem to clash.

jou piesang! select "lots of stuff" when installing - don't just click next next next...

Good way to screw up multimedia playback on your PC is to install all and sundry codecs you can find.

Just stick to VLC, nothing else is needed and if the video doesn't play,
delete the file - problem solved.
