We received some coffee beans from a friend, and she can supply us with a few tins a month if we want. Problem is that no-one we or she knows has a coffee bean grinder.

Which would you recommend between the following?

http://www.takealot.com/krups-black-coffee-grinder/PLID41353258

We only have a the following coffee machine http://www.takealot.com/russell-hobbs-futura-filter-coffee-maker-1-5-litre/PLID34147856

Could this be used with ground coffee beans?

Thanks in advance.

I bought a grinder from Checkers for like R99 works the bomb use it for grinding coffee beans as well as mustard seeds to make mustard.

I have the mellerware, works very well. Just a little difficult to clean, but I guess thats a problem with most of them.

You are supposed to have separate grinders for coffee and herbs/spices.

Rather look for a burr grinder - gives much more consistent results.

Those things are not coffee grinders - you may as well use a hammer. Go for a burr grinder. They are not cheap.

Yeah, stay away from anything that's got a blade.

This looks like a good deal...
Krups - Sante Fe Burr Grinder, R664 from loot.co.za

The Platinum one, can't find one on the website to show you.
Got a platinum from Shoprite yesterday. Works very well. About 30 seconds gives you a very fine espresso grind :)
