Hi,

Unfortunately my "Phillips lattego 3 " stopped grinding.
It's making the grinding "sound" and the beans do "go in" but no coffee is coming out.

I gave it a proper clean, but didn't try to open it up yet.

I called a few places....1 place quoted me R600 "just to book it in" , so R600 without looking or checking and they estimated a repair to be about R3000.
And someone else quoted me R5000, this is crazy! I paid R5300 for the machine (it was a good deal though).

Can anyone recommend a repair center that is reasonable in the sandton/centurion area?

I have a Philips and Saeco, took them a place just of Beyers Naude, had to take them back twice and in the they were unusable.

Then I found the agents in Pretoria, took them both in and the Philips only needed a service and adjustment of the grinder. The Saeco needed a new grinder that was no longer available so they had a second hand grinder for half the price. Both worked like when they were new.

Google Saeco Pretoria

Nobody seems to repair anything anymore. They will just quote you on replacing the entire grinder unit and with crazy labour rates its never worth it.
