Coffin assault trial

Putting someone inside a coffin isn't showing intent to kill. Nothing you extrapolate will ever change that, sorry, but it's the truth. It was a scare tactic and any sane person acknowledges that. If you somehow conflate it with intent, every single robbery will have to be tried for attempted murder, because I'm 100% sure every single person who is burgled or mugged or hijacked is worried about being killed. This is a bloody stupid precedent to be setting.
I wonder what one does with a coffin?

If they had started to bury the coffin, or set it alight then they would have shown both intent and a clear action that will lead to death.

I don't understand why that is so hard for you to conceive.

I tend to not sympathise with criminals.

Well these 2 guys got their comeuppance.

There's a lesson to be learnt, don't play games with other peoples lives and then claim afterwards you were just joking, eeish new meaning given to getting bitten on the ass.

What. If they were planning to kill this guy, why didn't they? What game with people's lives? Fokken moffies.

Take it from who it comes. Unfortunately, that is the majority of the population.

Speaking of criminals, did the victim not try to steal from the accused? Or did they just randomly grab him off the street to mess with him?

Yet they failed to lay a charge against him and were not even able to produce the copper that he was accused of stealing? without a charge, a trial and a conviction he is as innocent as you, it's up to you choose which side of the story you prefer to believe, it does not matter either way.

I see a lot of sympathy for criminals which is odd.

You conflate criticism of the sentence with support for the perpetrator. This is a logical failure on your part. the crimes that occurred in this case were unlawful detention and common assault. both can carry hefty sentences and would have been fully deserved. Attempted murder requires intent. intent requires action. If they had been stopped by a third party in the act of setting the coffin on fire, it would show intent. if 1 of the 2 had stopped the other, the latter would be charged with attempted murder as they showed intent. Since NO intent can be proven other than putting him in the coffin, which is unlawful detention, you cannot charge a person with what the victim thinks is a crime.

They put him in a coffin if they wanted to detain him they could have tied him up and called the police, but no they put him in a coffin and you only do two things with a coffin their choice shows a lot of intent. Anyway they could have done a million other things but they chose poorly no sympathy from me.

You clearly don't understand the law. putting him in the coffin was UNLAWFUL DETENTION. if they had put him in the coffin and then set it on fire, and then later taken him out before he burned to death, would show SOME intent. simply putting him in a coffin and saying they were going to set it on fire, does not show intent. It's a threat. which is part of the assault charge.

I clearly don't care for savages that's all.

I can agree with you on that at least. They deserve a jail sentence. What they got was a travesty of justice. The judge ruled incorrectly and because of that, they will probably win the appeal and get off scott free because of her stupidity.

Not only that, but shes done ****ed up for herself(then again, will probably become president in future), and they'll get a hefty payout from us tax payers by the end of it all

If you assault someone on your farm make sure they are white.

Lol, yes. Or this ^^ :D

The above histerics doesn't really tie in with the rest of your persona Pitbull. These guys were idiots, they recorded themselves putting someone in a coffin (that may or may not have been a criminal, no charges seems to have been filed) pretending to want to kill him. They are criminals. If they didn't film this nothing would have happened to them, they are idiots. If you can do the crime, you have to live with the consequences unfortunately. I have the same sympathy for them that I usually have for criminals.

Let this be a lesson. Will probably safer for white people just to ignore people of other colour in total, because a wrong glare in their direction may be seen as an aggressive look and probably planning an 'attack', which may end up with terrorism charges against you and facing life imprisonment.

More silly hysterics, what's the point of a stupid self pitying post like this?

I am a firm believer of capital punishment. But, this shows total incompetence from a black female judge and misuse of the legal system just to prove a point to a white person. I do not think capital punishment is suitable in SA with a system like ours. In fact, I will not be surprised if these two blokes would have been sent to death row for attempted murder charges had we still had capital punishment.

That sentence defines exactly the kind of person that you are.
