coke and sugar

Flavored water is anything but water.

I wouldn't confuse Vitawater with Flavoured Water though, the two are quite different.

Yes Flavoured water also has sugar in, but it's still pretty much water with a little flavour and sugar.

Vitawater on the other hand might as well be transparent coke.

It's not the sugar that's the problem it's the Carbon Dioxide being released into the atmosphere from the bubbles.:)

So if I want a drink... other than water.... I should drink Fuze Iced Tea?

Check the sugar content on flavoured waters. There's a brand at spar (can't remember the name) that only has 6 grams of sugar per 330mls if I remember correctly. Some flavoured waters do go quite high though.

It comes as a shock to many people when they realise how much sugar is in soft drinks.

And then they have a hernia when they realise that fruit juice (such as orange juice - the "healthy" option ;) ) is only a few percentage points behind Coke.

Now, while you're busy checking labels for added sugar, look at anything that comes in a box or some kind of packaging. Like your breakfast cereals. You'll find copies amounts of sugar in there as well.

Juices at least have the added benefits of vitamins though no?
