Coke taste different lately

The taste do change every few months.

Also noticed that Coke taste a bit... meh, lately (even with some brannas).

Sticking to Tab or Sprite Zero for now...

Used to work for a Coca Cola bottling plant, and I have always preferred can than plastic bottle or glass bottle. The plastic 500ml seems to have the worst taste.

The is no difference with the preparation but I guess it packaging science.

Have you lowered your sugar intake in general? Then it's your own tastes that have changed not the Coke's.

If like me you'll find that where you never enjoyed Beer and Whiskey before that will now become more and more acceptable to your palette.

aluminium cans get sprayed with a barrier coating to slow down / prevent the soda from reacting with the can and generating metallic tastes. Beers, fruit juices and sodas all get a coating, albeit the chemical make up is different for each. Plastic bottles do not get such a coating - hence the slight different it taste.

I wouldn't be surprised if coke sa is starting to use HFCS instead of sugar (or at least more so).

Left sugar out completely since Jan, except for the odd Coke, cut down very much, from 2-3 cans/bottles a week to now 1 every 2 weeks or so. Used to love it and lately it sucks, just tastes like crap.

I also cut out almost all (extra) sugar. Coke just tasted like syrup now.

Exact same story for me.

I now like Pepsi more. And I hated that.

If you don't have it for a while, the first time you do taste it again it tastes disgusting. Then you want to drink more and the next time it tastes better. When you decide to quit again, but taste it after a while, it's terrible. But then you want more and it tastes good. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Coke is becoming more and more "gassy".
Having Kingsley Cola and Pepsi now. Tastes better at half the price.
