You probably bought Coca Cola that is Kosher for Pesach (Jewish Passover), it is made differently from regular coke... I know that you used to be able to distinguish between regular coke and Kosher coke by the yellow cap that was used on the Kosher bottles... It will also say "Kosher for Passover" somewhere on the bottle.

Never seen in Spar and such. Always corner shops. Ranges from R10 to R12 a 2l bottle (one store sells 6 for R50).

The younger one already does. over the holidays, both her front milk-teeth fell out, so this morning was the first day she'd be going to school without it. So she went "I don't want to go to thcool because the other kidth are going to teathe me"

What?? It's not even close to the real thing. It's got a funny after taste, almost Dr Pepperish.

I didn't notice the aftertaste. It's actually closer to coke than Pepsi. But that's just me.

It's not made differently here because our coke is made with pure cane sugar while certain other markets notably USA
Use corn syrup HFCS which is not allowed for Jewish Passover but is ok for rest of year so these could be our export over runs
Definitely tastes different that HFCS cola

Ok, I've dropped my consumption of the bad stuff to 1 500ml bottle every second week or so. But lately it just doesn't taste good. Is it just me or did Coke change. Its not the same.
Used to be heaven now its uuurg..
