Colour Laserjet Any Idea's

Hello Everyone

We are in the market for a new Colour laserjet printer, since i am terribly tired having to fix our current one every 6 months due to the toner constantly going into the laser scanner.

Can anyone recommend a good printer?

Here are my choices i was thinking of. although i am not sure about samsung are they any good?

Well it looks like the CLP-350N is a GOOD printer

The cartridges lives are:
Black: 4000pages
Yellow/magenta/cyan: 2000pages

And if the prices on the cartridges are right then i think this is a good quality printer!!!
 
I recently replaced my OKI Colour Laser C3200 with their latest C3600 model - brilliant and was on special at R1999 from Printacom in Bramley Park, JHB. Includes USB and Network connectivity. The Printacom site still shows the promotion contact detail - click on Promotions tab...

I got my mom a mono Xerox a few months back and theyre also good - not sure on pricing for the colour ones though.

Never tried Samsung or Canon lasers, so can't comment on them. :)

That is the most important thing go keep in mind. I bought a Lexmark Colour laser printer from Macro on sale - the only problem is each of the four cartridges cost over R1200 to replace and no one did refills for it! :eek:
 
At home I still have my HP 2550.

I only buy high yield cartridges and get the best prices from my mate (won't mention name - spam) for around R850 per colour. Won't mention price of replacement drum as it will scare you off!

He used to remanufacture (not refill) the colour cartridges, but the profit margins are too low. He now only does black remans.

Bottom line: before you buy any printer, do your homework on the replacement cartridges and drum.

Still works out cheaper than using an inkjet type printer.
 
For what its worth I have a samsung CLP 315(i think :)) and Im very happy with the quality of the printing. For the price I definitely consider it a steal!
 
doesn't HP use RGB? i forgot..

I was just wondering but since your using CMYK its fine... I was thinking of ink cost etc. etc because CMYK works out a lot cheaper than HP's ink tanks.

i don't believe any printer uses RGB (possibly those high end ones)
