Comet ISON to be visible late 2013

The tail? You mean the mostly ice and little bit of rock that is burnt up upon entry into the atmosphere? Even if it miraculously made it here?

Sounds awesome, not concerning. I can't wait for the electric blue skies, if his model is correct...

So it may be more dense than originally thought. Awesome. Even less chance of fracture, which is miniscule as it is.

Can we agree that there is no evidence of a conspiracy? Can we agree that all evidence points to it not impacting earth? Can we agree that the comet trails, even if they made it to earth, are no cause for concern?

Yup, we are perfectly safe. Nothing in the ice cores will even show the cosmic dust particles :p. Just a crazy man talking a bunch of nonsense. Sticking to the facts from nasa updates only :D. Check what nasa launched DJ. Incredible what these guys are capable of. Ready for monitoring by the look of it. Check the itinerary guys.

Interesting, i saw they are launching this in nov http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/sounding-rockets/news/fortis.html again no conspiracy.

Not just NASA. Independent and foreign astronomers are tracking and measuring it too, all over the world. If anything were of concern with regards to ISON, no single government or even group of governments could keep it quiet. It's just not feasible, let alone conceivable...

Yea all they would do is flood youtube with nonsense like ison will impact earth and 20 other rubbish ison stories. With so many conspiracies only nasa will be the truth because people will try scare everyone and use any tactic. So we stick to nasa.

Nasa are launching soon.

Walter click edit post, click delete and then check/tick the circle that says delete message and then save. Don't give a reason.

Even if we accept the conspiracy theorists on the claim that only a 2 degree shift in trajectory is required for it to hit earth (which has not come from any reputable source whatsoever), here is the mathematics involved for the comet to achieve said shift (from the science forums):

Now, if you'd like to argue the conspiracy angle, or claim that ISON might still impact earth, then you'll need to do the maths to prove the above equations incorrect. Have fun...

Do you have a link to where you got the math from? Was it physicsforums.com? (I don't doubt it, I'd just like to read the entire thread and go through the math myself.)

EDIT: Nevermind, found it: http://www.scienceforums.net/topic/75625-shocking-video-of-comet-ison-causes-panic/page-3

Sounds like the first reports are coming through that ISON can now be seen with binoculars.

http://www.spaceweather.com/

COMET ISON NOW A BINOCULAR OBJECT: Comet ISON is brightening as it approaches the sun. Multiple observers now report that it is a binocular object. "I finally saw Comet ISON for the first time using small binoculars!" says pilot Brian Whittaker. He was flying 38,000 feet over the Mediterranean Sea on Nov. 8th when he took this picture showing where to look:

Not vissible to the naked eye yet but getting close.

A sudden outburst of brightness from sundiving Comet ISON has catapulted it to the threshold of naked-eye visibility. "I've been imaging Comet ISON every morning," reports amateur astronomer Charles Coburn. of Rescue, CA. "Today, to my surprise, I could see it on my DSLR live preview screen." These two images show the comet on consecutive days as photographed by Coburn using the same camera and telescope settings:
