Communciations DG Mamodupi Mohlala fired

To my absolute horror I observe my loyalties shifting to the DA. I am in shock really. It is not because I don't know the DA, but this country won't survive this kind of corruption by the ANC.

As much as I despise Mamodupi Mohlala for her obstructiveness as an !CASA councillor [specifically the ADSL Regulations], I do think that Mamodupi Mohlala was trying to put a stop to the general's illegal tender activities, and if that is so then Mamodupi Mohlala should be commended, but I would not want her reinstated since I think she has an under-the-table agenda of her own and she should not be trusted.

We the tax payers will be the innocent victims expected to foot the bill for the impending legal crossfire between Mamodupi Mohlala [who will be obliged to clear her name at all costs] and the general [who will be obliged to bury Mamodupi Mohlala in a desperate attempt to conceal his own illegal activities].

As pointed out by arf9999, Mamodupi Mohlala is an attorney, and she deserves to be recognised as such - especially when just about everyone is aware that she qualified as an attorney - this is common knowledge.

That doesn't mean one has to like her, and it certainly does not mean that she is a good attorney - one only has to look at how the Draft ADSL Regulations deteriorated at her hand, from being relatively ok from a consumer's POV into the de facto ADSL Regulations that are so blatantly tipped in favour of Telkodemonopolies.

IMO Mamodupi Mohlala cannot be trusted considering her history with !CASA, but she certainly is sufficiently educated.

Meanwhile, Mohlala is seeking legal advice on whether to contest her dismissal on Friday. In a letter to Nyanda she denied that there was a breakdown in the trust and confidence in the relationship.

Mohlala's attorneys wrote to the to the department on Thursday after a phone conversation with a senior official requesting that Mohlala be furnished with a written settlement proposal she could consider. Instead of this, she was summarily dismissed on Friday.

Please read carefully before you comment........she was intructed by the minister to stop unjustified tenders (her friend's )
