Comparing prices: Mac Pro versus PCs

I'm not sure what you'd like to see improved upon. CPU perhaps but that's due for a bump to core 2 duo next - at least IMHO.
well, where do I start... :)
Core 2 Duo definitely, up to as high as 2.33Ghz.
2GB RAM
512MB gfx card
1900x1200 display
7200rpm hdd

they are already available....

They weren't all readily available when the model came out so perhaps they'll be accommodated for in the next rev.

But realistically - you know you're a dell boy at heart so why all the qns? ;)

I am open to new experiences :D And I am curious about all the hype the MAC fanboys are making and seeing whether it really is as uber as it is being made out to be. ;)

Thus far, I am not too impressed: specs and price cannot be beat on the Dell systems :)

But there is hope... :p

Uhm, ye, saw that, not too impressed personally tho, I cannot echo the sentiment, i.e. hype IMO
so ye :)

You cant echo a sentiment adequately without experiencing it. :o The article was based on customer satisfaction.
Whose PCs and printers are the most reliable? Who offers the best support when things go wrong—and the best repairs when things go really wrong?
Downtime and customer service are important factors. An inoperable computer doesnt bring in money.

Exactly, I am a Dell customer and I am happy hence me not being able to sentimentise :p :D

Oddly enough I am also a dell owner and can echo the sentiments of the article.
Dell remains a decent option, though there are better alternatives in each category.
If decent is good enough for you then more power to you.

What's in a word? decent? pah! :D
The dude obviously restrained himself a bit in lacking a better, more awe-inspiring word... :D

If you are going to buy a mac to run windows on then the only reason can be for the design. For me it was all about OS X, and the ability to run windows if I needed it occasionally was an added bonus.

For me, for the work I do, there is no better machine.
